Promote spaces for consultation, expression, and digital creation led by children.
Create a National Observatory on the Rights of Children and Adolescents in Digital Environments to systematize data, evaluate public policies, and issue recommendations.
Promote transparency, accountability, and access to information on the country's digital conditions.
Objective
Design, implement, and monitor a national digital cooperation agenda focused on children and adolescents, ensuring their rights, reducing gaps, preventing risks, and promoting their active and safe participation in the digital environment.
The Digital Pact is an open and urgent proposal for Argentina to move toward fairer, safer, and more respectful digital environments for all children.
We want to join forces and build a national agreement that:
Strengthens compliance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child in digital environments (GC No. 25) and the Pact for the Future.
Promotes effective, federal, and intersectoral public policies.
Generates advocacy spaces for discussion and debate.
The Pact Roadmap has four stages:
1- Diagnosis
-
Survey of initiatives
-
Federal map
2. Construction
-
Call for intersectoral roundtables
-
Legislative and public policy proposals
-
Open consultation with specialists and the public
3. Public installation
-
Awareness campaigns
-
Partnerships with media, universities, and businesses
4. Monitoring
-
Technical recommendations
-
Compliance indicators
-
Publication of annual reports
-
We call on all stakeholders in the Argentine digital ecosystem—governments, legislators, ombudsmen, civil society, technology platforms, media outlets, universities, businesses, and families—to join, participate, and collectively build this pact, which is not just a declaration, but a roadmap for the future.
A Digital Pact for the protection of children and adolescents in Argentina
Inspired by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the United Nations Global Digital Compact, and local and international public policy experiences, we are working to build and implement a Digital Pact for the protection of children and adolescents in Argentina.
