Data Protection: Observatory of Legislative Projects
Argentina's Personal Data Protection Law, in force since 2000, has become outdated in the face of the challenges of the digital age. One of its main shortcomings is that it does not incorporate a specific perspective on children and adolescents, despite the fact that they are among the groups most exposed to online risks.
From this Observatory, we analyze recent legislative projects that seek to update the regulations, strengthen oversight mechanisms, implement an age-appropriate design code, and align the country with international standards, always with the goal of ensuring that digital protection places children and their rights at the center.
